Nine schoolgirls and a school guard were injured in a NATO airstrike in Shiwa district, Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar province.
The incident took place on Wednesday at around 9:00 Am local time in Sarband village apart of Shiwa district. Ahmad Zia Abdulzai, the Nangarhar

provincial government spokesman, confirming the attack told Bokhdi News Agency that the investigation have been started regarding to the incident. He continued, some of governmental school students in Shiwa district sustained injury during the NATO airstrike.
Meanwhile Dr. Mohammad Ayoub Sharaft former head of Nangarhar’s Tribes told Bokhdi News Agency some his family members (injured children) were among the injuries.
Yet the target of NATO airstrike is not clear. International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) press office in eastern Afghanistan said that the ISAF personals have started their investigation related to attack; however, contacting with Bokhdi News Agency ISAF office denied any role regarding to the incident.
According to reports, government opponents have participation in Shiwa district where located near the Kunar province.
