Rebels renounce violence

Around 20 Taliban armed insurgents renounce violence and joined Afghan government in Herat province, said Governor Daud Sabah the provincial governor on Tuesday. The group headed by Mullah Abdul Ghani who with his group joined peace process in Gulran district, said the source.
He said that the former rebels also handed over weapons and homemade bombs to the security officials during a surrendering ceremony held in the district on Monday.
