15 militants killed in Northwest Pakistan Local media in Pakistan reported from a military operation which was launched by Pakistani Security Forces in the country's northwest tribal area of Upper Orakzai on Thursday morning and at the result 15 militants were killed.
Local Urdu TV channel Dunya in Pakistan quoted unidentified army sources as saying that early on Thursday morning the security forces in the upper part of Orakzai, the only one out of the seven tribal areas in the country, that does not border Afghanistan, conducted an operation against the militants hiding in the area with the backup of army planes.
The report added, in the area four militants which were hideouts destroyed in the operation and seven militants were also injured.
The exact location and time of the operation, nor casualties of the security forces been mentioned in the report. 
In another development, two people were killed when four rockets were fired by unknown people at a house in Orakzai on Thursday morning. No other details about the rockets attack have been reported, the local media added.
